Itinerary of Shared Marrakech to Merzouga Desert 3-Day
Our small group from Marrakech to Merzouga 3-day desert tour starts at 08:00 AM from Marrakech. First, we will drive over the High Atlas Mountains and along one of the main trans-Saharan trade routes. We will have many stops along the way to see some traditional Berber villages and in the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.
Get to Ait Ben Haddou village, where we will stop for a tasty lunch. After lunch, we will discover the most popular kasbah (fortified village) in Morocco. Ait Ben Haddou’s kasbah was used to film parts of many famous films and series such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After the visit, we head to Ouarzazate. The city is known as the gateway to the Sahara desert. Also called African Hollywood. Here, we will stop at the Atlas Studio to take some photos from the outside, then continue towards Boumalne, passing through the Valley of the Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna.
Arrive at the gorges in the afternoon. Here we will visit the strange rock formations known as monkey fingers, then continue driving to the most famous zig-zag road in Morocco, where we will see a beautiful view of the gorges from above. Spend the night in a beautiful hotel along the Dades Valley.

After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the desert. On the way, we will stop to see a charming oasis in Tinghir and walk under the Todra Canyon ( 300 meters high ). Lunch will be at a restaurant on the way.
Arrival in Erg Chebbi in the afternoon. We will cross the giant sand dunes on camels to our luxury camp. On the way, we will stop at a high dune to watch an amazing orange sunset and try a sandboarding activity. After watching the sunset, we continue the camel trekking to our luxury camp.
Here, our staff will welcome you with a cup of tea, then show you their private luxury shop, so you can take a shower and relax before dinner time. After a delicious dinner, the crew will light a fire and play some Berber music for you. After listening to the music, you can learn to play drums, share our Berber culture with you and contemplate a sky full of stars. Then sleep in your private tent.

Today we wake up early because the trip to Marrakech is long. After a tasty breakfast, we will leave the camp in 4×4 vehicles and head to the town of Merzouga, then we will start our journey back to Marrakech in our previous car.
