Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Dades Valley

Your 3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes starts around 08:00 AM from your hotel/riad or anywhere you are in Marrakech. Exit the city, drive southeast through the High Atlas Mountains, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the traditional Berber villages as you will stop at some panoramic locations for photos. Stop for lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou, here you will also visit the ancient and portentous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The Kasbah or let’s say the “fortified village” has been protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1987, it is a place where many famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Babel and Gladiator have been filmed.

After a short drive to Ouarzazate, you will stop to see the largest studio in Africa, it is optional to visit it from the inside. Then head to Boumalne, passing through the Rose Valley on the way. You can choose to visit the rock formations (called monkey fingers) in the Dades Valley before heading to your accommodation or visit it the next day.

Day 2: Dades valley – Toudgha Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga desert

After a tasty breakfast, we will head to Tinghir where we will stop at a stunning viewpoint to an incredible oasis full of palm trees and many kasbahs. You will have the opportunity to walk under the Grand Canyon of Todgha, which was cut by the Todgha River. The gorge is 300 meters deep.

When we get to Merzouga, your luggage will be taken by a 4×4 vehicle to your camp while you go on a camel trek. Watch the bright red and orange sunset over the Erg Chebbi. Spend an unforgettable night in the Sahara Desert with locals, drumming, sharing stories and watching a starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas mountains – Azrou - Ifrane - Fez

An early start this morning is rewarded with a peaceful and beautiful sunrise. After a delicious breakfast in the camp, you can choose to leave the camp on camel trekking back or in a 4×4 vehicle. Leave Merzouga, drive to Fez. On the way, you will stop at a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, the valley is full of palm trees and some villages. In the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas, you can see some Barbary monkeys, they are one of the few species that live in a cold climate. Stop in the city of Ifrane for a rest and coffee, the city is called the Switzerland of Morocco.
