6 Days tour from Marrakech itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades valley

Start your journey in Marrakech and head out early toward the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass with its winding roads and panoramic views. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, a striking earthen village famous for its appearances in films. After exploring, pass through Ouarzazate and continue to the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by rugged landscapes.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga desert

On the second day, travel through scenic valleys to reach Todra Gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above a narrow riverbed—perfect for a short walk. From there, continue toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. In the afternoon, switch to camels and ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You’ll arrive at a desert camp in time for sunset, followed by a traditional dinner, music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Wake early on day three for a sunrise over the dunes before beginning the long journey north. Drive through the lush Ziz Valley and into the Middle Atlas region, stopping in Ifrane, known for its European-style architecture and cool climate. Along the way, you may spot monkeys in the cedar forests before arriving in Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic and culturally rich cities.

Day 4: Visit around Fes - Chefchaouen

Spend the morning of day four exploring Fes, wandering through the maze-like streets of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO-listed medina filled with markets, mosques, and artisan workshops. A visit to the iconic Chouara Tannery offers a glimpse into centuries-old leather-making traditions. In the afternoon, depart for Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains, arriving in the evening.

Day 5: Chefchaouen

Day five is dedicated to relaxing and exploring the charm of Chefchaouen. Wander through the blue-painted alleys of the Chefchaouen Medina, visit the historic Kasbah Museum, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. For a memorable sunset, hike up to the Spanish Mosque, which overlooks the town and surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Marrakech

On your final day, prepare for a long return journey to Marrakech. The most efficient option is to travel back via Fes or Tangier and take a flight or train south. Alternatively, you can drive the entire distance, passing through major cities like Rabat or Casablanca, though this option requires a full day of travel.
